An award-winning Donegal sheep and cattle farm was celebrated recently by the Irish Grasslands Association.

The IGA hosted their yearly on-farm sheep walk event at the Stevenson farm, run by mother and son Margaret and Jack Stevenson, in the east of the county.

Located between Castlefinn and Killygordon, in 2023 the Stevensons’ farm won the Suckler to Weanling category in the
National Livestock Show Sustainable Farmer Awards.

They were selected to host the annual sheep walk due to their constistently high quality and quantity of sheep output, with Margaret and Jack also given a special plaque celebrating their acheivements.
