Liverpudlian comedian John Bishop is combining his stand-up career with a new love of motorcycling on a tour along Ireland’s stunning Wild Atlantic Way.
Bishop, who is performing two gigs in Letterkenny, is travelling between his Irish venues on a BMW R 1300 GS-TE, taking in the sights and savouring the local cuisine.
On Thursday, Bishop cruised through Inishowen, where he stopped for lunch at Nancy’s Barn Ballyliffin, the multi-award winning spot for world famous chowder. The restaurant team was thrilled to welcome the star of popular shows like “Would I Lie to You” and “Doctor Who.”

Bishop’s comedic talents were in full flow last night with a sell-out show at An Grianan Letterkenny. He’ll be back on stage to another packed house tonight.
While Bishop is accustomed to performing in large arenas, he specifically scheduled many of his shows to allow him to explore the scenic Wild Atlantic Way by motorcycle – Much to the delight of local fans!
