Donegal’s African communities were celebrated today in Letterkenny as part of Donegal Africa Day.
The annual event aims to bring together people of all backgrounds to celebrate the cultural diversity of the residents of Donegal.
Today’s celebrations at the An Grianan Theatre Plaza saw African cultural and musical performances, as well as a variety of African food stalls available for the public to enjoy – and some fun for the family as well.
The event is organised in a collaborative effort by Donegal County Council, Letterkenny CDP and the Donegal Intercultural Platform, to celebrate diversity and promote social inclusion.
Thanks to Joe Boland from North West Newspix for these great photos from the event.
