Two people arrested yesterday as part of the Garda investigation into the Creeslough explosion have ben released without charge.
The man and the woman in their 40s were detained and questioned at separate Garda Stations in Donegal throughout yesterday.
Gardai this morning released a statement to say both have now ben released.
A total of four people have now ben arrested in connection with the 2022 fatal explosion at a filling staiton in the village.
A Garda spokesperson confirmed “The two people who were arrested yesterday, 27th May 2024, as part of the investigation into the fatal explosion at a building complex in Creeslough, County Donegal, have been released without charge.
“The investigation, led by Gardaí in the Donegal Division, is ongoing with the intention of submitting a file to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.”
Gardai have said they will be making no further comments on the arrests.
