An inspirational grandmother from Donegal is taking a huge leap to save young lives.

Kay Sinclair, aged 92, from Donegal Town is braving a ‘Skydive for Life’ on 20th July in aid of Youth Suicide Prevention Ireland.

The date holds immense significance, as it is the anniversary of the passing of Kay’s son Michael. Michael passed away at the age of 24 and remains in the hearts of his family and many friends.

“The 20th of July is a special date for me as it’s the 37th anniversary of the passing of my son Michael and I’ll be doing the jump in his memory,” Kay said.

The challenge in honour of Michael will help fund the Let’s Talk Programme by YSI.

“Every euro counts and no amount is too small. Together, we can make a significant impact on the lives of young people across Ireland,” Kay said.

“What a fantastic and brave lady our Kay Sinclair is,” says her friends at Leghowney Community Hall.

“Age is clearly is just a number and absolutely no obstacle to Kay.”

Local hero Kay is hoping to make a significant impact on the lives of young people across Ireland.

Kay’s skydive takes place in Offaly and will see her jump 15,000ft out of a plane alongside brave volunteers from across the country. The Skydive for Life aims to raise at least €50,000 for youth counselling.

Money raised will fund a mental health programme with resources for schools, parents and the public. It will also provide crisis support services and immediate access to counselling.

Kay is already on her way to reaching her €5,000 goal and you can cheer her on with a donation at this link: https://skydive.yspi.ie/kaysinclair

“Please consider donating today and sharing this campaign with your friends and family. Your support means the world to me and to the countless young lives we can save together,” Kay said.
