A disqualified driver is due to appear in court after being caught driving in Quigleys Point.

The detection was made by the Buncrana Roads Policing Unit yesterday.

The driver was arrested, and the car was seized by Gardaí. The driver will appear in court at a later date.

“Never take risks when it comes to road safety,” gardaí said.

Gardaí will conduct high visibility patrols and checkpoints across Donegal this June Bank Holiday weekend and are appealing to everyone to drive safely.

“Do not drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Do not speed. Wear your seatbelt. The results of drink/drug driving and/or speed can be utterly devastating. Leave your mobile phone well out of reach when driving. Never take unnecessary risks while behind the wheel.
We do hope that you all have a lovely Bank Holiday weekend and please stay safe,” a statement said.
