Donegal battled heroically but were beaten by Cork in the All-Ireland series at Páirc Uí Rinn this afternoon.

Thousands of Donegal fans made the long journey south as they answered Jim McGuinness’ call to be his team’s sixteenth player.

But two early second-half goals left Donegal chasing the game.

And despite bringing the game back to a single point, Cork managed to keep their noses in front.

Try as they did, Cork eventually came away winners on a scoreline of 3-9 to 0-16.

Full report and all the reaction to follow shortly.
