Members of the public have made posts asking for help in rescuing a young goat, who managed to get trapped on top of the remains of what looks like an old tower.
The appeal was made in a local community Facebook group for residents in the Greencastle which was shared far and wide, including by Animals in Need Donegal.
According to the person who posted the appeal, the kid goat has been stuck for at least four days after managing to somehow climb its way to the top of the old ruins.
“Day 4,” the person posted.
“Is there a group of strong men with a ladder & rope that could help this kid goat please?”
“The poor thing must need water at this stage. Can the Coastguard Rescue Service help please?”
Animals in Need Donegal have also appealed for volunteers in the Greencastle area to help rescue the goat.
