Hello, my name is Adrian Mc Myler, and I’m running for Donegal County Council in the Buncrana electoral area.

As someone who has dedicated their life to promoting and serving our community, I want to share with you ten compelling reasons why you should consider giving me your No. 1 vote this Friday. My passion for Inishowen and its people runs deep, and I genuinely want to help make our home a better place for everyone.

1. Deep Local Roots

From being crowned Mr. Junior Donegal at the age of 10 to participating in Inishowen tourism campaigns, my commitment to promoting our beautiful county has been unwavering. I’ve grown up here, and I understand the unique challenges and opportunities we face.

2. Champion for Youth and Community

I set up a local charity in 2016 to support sick children with long-term illnesses, and it has since become a well-established organization. Additionally, as a co-founder of the Inish Theatre Group, I help produce community theatre shows to raise funds for local causes, demonstrating my dedication to supporting our youth and community.

3.  Proven Leadership and Experience

As a former treasurer of Buncrana GAA and a member of the fundraising committee for Buncrana Hearts, I’ve shown my ability to lead and manage effectively. My involvement in these roles has equipped me with the skills to advocate for and implement positive change in our community.

4. Advocate for Mental Health

Serving on the Youth Advisory Panel for Jigsaw Donegal, I’ve actively advocated for young people’s mental health. I understand the importance of mental health services and will work tirelessly to ensure they are adequately funded and accessible.

5.  Promoter of Local Heritage and Tourism

Through my tour guide business and current role as a sales executive, I’ve consistently promoted Inishowen and its rich heritage. My social media presence is dedicated to showcasing the best of our region, attracting visitors and boosting our local economy.

6.  National and International Representation

I have proudly represented Buncrana and Donegal on national and international stages, from the Sydney St. Patrick’s Day Organization to World Pride. These experiences have not only promoted our county but also highlighted our progress and resilience on a global scale.

7. Fundraising and Volunteerism

My volunteer efforts have been recognized nationally, including being named All Ireland Junior Volunteer of the Year in 2015. I have helped over 14 local Inishowen causes, showing my dedication to giving back to the community that has given me so much.

8.  Cultural and Sports Achievements

As a 4-time county champion in Scór na nÓg and an All Ireland finalist in Junk Kouture, I have demonstrated my commitment to promoting our local culture and sports. These achievements reflect my dedication to fostering talent and pride in our community.

9. Voice for the People

I’ve spoken on national radio on various topics, always advocating for the people of Donegal. I am committed to being a strong voice for our community, ensuring that our concerns are heard and addressed at every level of government.

10. Commitment to Action and Change

If elected, I will tirelessly lobby TDs and government officials to address the pressing issues we face, from mental health services to local infrastructure. My track record shows that I am not just talk—I deliver results.

In conclusion, my life has been dedicated to serving and promoting our community and I’m asking to be voted into a platform this Friday that will enable me to 10x my impact. I have the experience, passion, and commitment to make a real difference. This Friday, I ask for your No. 1 vote to help me continue this important work. Together, we can build a brighter future for Inishowen.

Thank you for your support.
