Chris MacManus is Sinn Féin’s current MEP for Midlands Northwest.

A former Sligo County Councillor, he has a strong track record of standing up for ordinary people and is Donegal’s closest MEP in Europe.

He has been a leading campaigner on housing, the defective concrete block issue, regional development and securing the future of the family farm.

As a member of the European Parliament, Chris has been working hard to secure a fairer deal for family, farmers and rural communities. Over the past four years, he has also been fighting to protect the economies of border communities post-Brexit, attain funding for the Western Rail Corridor, get EU Funding for infrastructural projects in Midlands Northwest and create a forestry strategy that works for farmers, communities and the environment.

Having Chris returned to the European Parliament will see him continue to tackle regional imabalance and make a difference to the lives of people across the constituency.
