Gardaí investigating a vandalism incident in Downings have urged parents and guardians to ‘speak to their young people.’

Three windows were smashed at a vacant property in Larganreagh on Thursday, May 30, at around 6.30pm. It is believed that the damage may have been caused by a number of youths.

“We appeal to anybody who may have been in the area with a dash cam to make the footage

available to Gardaí,” said Garda Niall Maguire.

“We also appeal to the youths in question to come forward to speak to Gardaí. Again, this week we appeal to parents/guardians to speak to their young people about the consequences that they would face if they were to get involved in this type or any type of illegal activity.”

If anybody can assist with dash cam footage or information, they are asked to contact

Gardaí in Milford on 074-9153060. The Garda Confidential line may also be reached on 1800 666 111.
