Maggie’s charity party to honour beloved mum, ‘Queen of Listillion’ Helen McDaid

Well-known Letterkenny woman Maggie McDaid Pyper is turning her 60th birthday into a very special charity event.

Maggie, known for her fundraising efforts, is dedicating her birthday to celebrating the memory of her beloved mum, Helen McDaid.

Helen passed away on 15th December last year and is fondly remembered as The Queen of Listillion.

In her true style of kindness, Maggie has added a touch of goodwill to her milestone birthday by hosting a party at the Station House Hotel Letterkenny on 15th June. She is asking for no cards, no gifts, only donations to Donegal Hospice and TJ’s Wish to Walk.

The ‘TJWISH2WALK‘ fund is in support of Maggie’s cousin, three-year-old TJ McDaid, who is undergoing specialist physiotherapy treatment in Budapest, having been born with severe spina bifida meningocele.

TJ is currently in Hungary for her fifth programme at the Peto Institute and has made amazing progress. Each medical trip costs €12,000 on average, so fundraising is a priority for TJ’s mum Claire to ensure she continues to get the best results.

Maggie is extending an open invitation to everyone to join her 60th birthday bash on Saturday 15th June Station House Hotel from 9pm.

It will be a night of good music and good fun with DJ Niall Doherty, finger food compliments of Station House Hotel Letterkenny and great prizes on the night kindly donated by local businesses and individuals.

 All welcome.
