Daniel O’Donnell said he is “begging” fans not to send any money to him online after meeting more fans who were scammed out of money online.

Fraudsters are now constantly trying to hoodwink the singer’s millions of fans worldwide into donating cash thinking they are engaging with famous singer.

The Donegal star’s latest warning comes after he met a fan in Ohio in America who was scammed out of money.

The woman is the latest in an increasing number of unsuspecting fans who think they are chatting to the real Daniel online.

Once fans think they are engaging with the star, scammers behind the fake online pages are then asking for donations directly to Daniel or other charities which they think he is supporting.

The singer has once again pleaded with fans never to engage with him online.

Daniel supports many charities including the Relay for Life cancer charity of which he and his wife Majella are patrons of.

But he said he wanted to remind fans that he will NEVER engage personally with them online and NEVER ask for any donation to any cause.

He warned “I just want to impress upon you again not to engage with anybody on Facebook who contacts you.

“I just met a lady here in Ohio who has been scammed and has sent money to somebody pretending to be me. Please, I beg of you, don’t engage with anyone on Facebook or messenger or any other way.

“I will not contact you personally and I will certainly not ask you for money for me or for or foundations or for anything. Absolutely never will I contact you personally.

“So please, please, if anyone contacts you saying they are me delete them immediately.”
