Heartache at passing of much-loved barbershop owner, Gillian Gallagher-Lynch

Tributes have been paid following the sudden passing of Gillian Gallagher-Lynch, owner of Blades Barbers Letterkenny.

Gillian, of Tober, Ballindrait, passed away on Friday 7th June.

“We are so fortunate enough to have had her in our lives,” said a tribute from the Blades team.

“Her love, kindness, thoughtfulness and fun will always guide us through these difficult days.

“Gillian’s generosity, talent and skill as a barber made Blades a successful cornerstone of the Port Road Letterkenny community.”

The barbers will remain closed until 18th June, with customers to be updated online.

Gillian is deeply missed by her son and best friend Corey, his partner Megan and all the Blades family, as well as her many friends in the wider community.

Obituary Notice: 

Much loved mother of Corey, mother-in-law of Megan, dearly loved daughter of Muriel and Seamus Gallagher, loving sister of Sean, Damien, Brian, Shane, Gavin, Seamie and the late Donna and wife of the late Kevin.

Reposing at her home on Tuesday (June 11th) from 12 noon. Funeral leaving her home on Thursday (June 13th) at 10.20 a.m. for Requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Murlog, Lifford at 11a.m. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Deeply regretted by her heartbroken son, mum, dad, daughter-in-law, brothers, nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and family circle.

Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul.

No Mass cards or flowers please, donations in lieu if desired to the Spina Bifida Association, Donegal Branch. Family time please from 10p.m. to 11a.m.
