Gardaí are investigating a burglary and vandalism that occurred at ‘The Old Rectory’ in Carrigart last week.

The incident took place at the vacant building sometime between Wednesday, June 5, and Wednesday, June 12.

A window was smashed and entry is believed to have been gained through another boarded up window. Graffiti was sprayed inside the building, but nothing was stolen.

“We appeal to anybody who may have observed suspicious activity around the Rectory between the above dates to make contact with Gardaí in Milford,” Garda Grainne Doherty said.

Milford Garda Station can be contacted on 0749153060. The Garda Confidential Line may be reached on 1800 666 111.
