The charities that will benefit from the proceeds of the 2024 Bluestack Challenge have been announced.

All of this year’s charities are based in Donegal, and focus on the areas of additional needs, cancer care and mental health care.

This year’s beneficiaries are the Bluestack Foundation, Donegal Down Syndrome, Cancer Care West, Good and New Cancer Bus, Solace Donegal Cancer Support Centre, the counselling services at the Pastoral Centre Letterkenny and Donegal Town Resource Centre.

This year’s event has also been sponsored by Seamus Quinn and his family in Blas and The Gateway Lodge.

The bi-annual event always draws a big crowd of participants, and has raised over €1.5 million since the first Bluestack Challenge was held in 2002.

The route for the challenge begins in Fintown, and ends at the Bluestack Centre in Drimarone.

On their fundraising site, Bluestack Challenge founder Patrick McBrearty said that “these funds are vital for the charities concerned to be able to continue providing their services for families and individuals into 2025 and beyond.”
