A-list celebs are making their way to Donegal next week to raise a glass to The Muff Liquor Company, it has been revealed.
Hollywood legend Russell Crowe, singer Ronan Keating and international comedian, Jimmy Carr are all tipped to join the celebrations of a new brand home for the cheekily-named “Muff Liquor” Donegal spirits range.
The premium drinks company is opening a new distillery, bottling site, shop and gin experience in the centre of Muff village as an ode to its homegrown origin story.
Co-founded by Greencastle woman Laura Bonner, the Muff Liquor Company has attracted high-profile investors including ‘Gladiator’ movie star Russell Crowe, Ed Sheeran, Ronan Keating and Jimmy Carr who are all adding celebrity status to the booming brand.

Investment in the Muff brand home has also brewed up jobs and a new tourism attraction for Donegal, so there will be plenty for the Muff Liquor men to toast to at the upcoming launch.
The company was inspired by Laura Bonner’s grandfather, Inishowen man Philip Mc Clenaghan who was a Greencastle potato farmer and underground poitin maker. In 2017, Laura decided to follow in Philip’s footsteps and legitimise the production of potato-based spirits alongside her Manchester-based business partner Tom Russell.
Earlier this year Muff marked a major win in the signing of a US distribution agreement to have the award-winning Muff Whiskey, Vodka and Gin on sale across America.
