Two crew members had to be rescued after a passenger boat sank off the coast of County Kerry earlier today.
The dramatic rescue took place just a few kilometres off the coast of Scelig Mhicíl, before 10am this morning.
The boat was servicing na Scelga islands when it got into difficulty, with the alarm being raised and the Valentia Coast Guard quickly responding.
While at the time there were no passengers onboard the vessel, the two crew members had to be rescued by another nearby vessel.
Both are understood to be unharmed despite the ordeal.
Details of what caused the boat to sink have not been released.
