A Donegal County Councillor is calling for a safety barrier to prevent further accidents on the road to Muckish Grotto.

A recent incident, in which a car veered off the road and burnt out, has prompted Cllr Michael Mc Clafferty from Falcarragh to seek action before any other road users are hurt.

Cllr McClafferty emphasized the urgency of the situation, highlighting the significant drop at the accident site.

“I have requested that Donegal County Council look into erecting a crash barrier here for the safety of all road users as there is a significant drop and this isn’t the first incident that happened at this location,” Cllr Mc Clafferty said.
