Tributes have been paid to a young man from Sligo after his tragic passing in a road traffic accident in Canada this week.
27-year-old Anthony McGwynne, a native of Calry, County Sligo, passed away after his motorbike was struck by a car in Vancouver last Thursday evening, the 4th of July.
He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene by first responders at 9:30pm.
The driver of the car involved in the incident was also transferred to hospital for treatment.
No funeral arrangements have currently been made.
