South Donegal Fianna Fail Councillor, Michéal Naughton, has confirmed he has put his name forward for the party’s General Election selection convention in the Donegal constituency.

The confirmation comes after Letterkenny representative, Cllr Donal ‘Mandy’ Kelly, told Donegal Daily he would also be putting his hat in the ring.

Cllr Naughton topped the poll in the Donegal LEA in last month’s local elections.

The deadline for candidates to submit nominations is next Monday.
