Gardaí say three people were taken to hospital following a serious accident near Lifford earlier this evening.
The accident occurred at approximately 5:40pm, just outside Rossgeir on the N14, the main Letterkenny to Lifford road.
Gardaí and members of the ambulance service attended the scene for some time as the injured persons were treated at the scene and then transferred to hospital.
The two cars also sustained substantial damage as a result of the crash.
Gardaì have made no updates available regarding the severity of the condition of the three people who were hospitalised.
