Spain are the champions of Euro 2024.
An 86th minute winner from Mikel Oyarzabal sealed the trophy for Spain and confirmed yet another major tournament disappointment for England.
Spain had gone ahead in the 47th minute after Lamine Yamal slid a perfect pass through to Nico Williams, who perfectly placed his shot past Jordan Pickford.
Substitute Cole Palmer once again gave England life in this tournament however, an excellent strike from range slotting into the bottom left corner of the Spanish goal.
Spain however were the dominant side for large parts of the match, a number of chances for the wonderkid Yamal being highlights.
They caught England on the break in the 87th minute, as left back Marc Cucurella slotted a fantastic cross in for Oyarzabal – who was just barely onside – to finish.
Spain hung on for their fourth European crown, and England once again come home with nothing to show for their international exploits.
