The Donegal Ladies has withdrawn from the under 11 Girls Section A of the O’Neill’s Foyle Cup due to a bereavement.
Young team members are mourning the loss of a parent of players and aunt to others on the team.
Organisers of the O’Neill’s Foyle Cup have acknowledged the difficult circumstances and offered their sympathies to the Donegal Ladies.
Finding a replacement team at such short notice today is highly unlikely, they said.
The O’Neills Foyle Cup youth soccer tournament takes place 15-20 July 2024.
