A body has been recovered in Tenerife following a four week search for 19-year-old British man Jay Slater.

Spanish police confirm that rescuers found remains in the Masca area after “29 constant days of searching”.

Jay Slater, from Lancashire, went missing on 17th June after attending the NRG music festival with friends.

His disappearance sparked a major search and fundraising campaign.

A statement from the Guardia Civil said he may have died due to an accidental fall in the difficult to access mountaineous area, but the autopsy will show whether it was an accident.
