Couple clocks up 59 years at the Cope – but who’s counting?!

The Cope Foodstore Dungloe has made some very special presentations to two long-serving members of staff this week.

Lisa McGee is marking 30 years of service, while her husband Brendan is celebrating 29 – or there about!

While it’s normally a wonderful working relationship, there’s a small bit of rivalry this week, as Brendan has been arguing that the dates are incorrect and he has more years of service than Lisa, but has yet to present evidence to back this up!

Lisa was presented with a small token of appreciation for her service to the local Co-operative by her manager Declan Dorrian and Chief Executive of the business Mark Sharkey. Lisa has worked in the Cope Foodstore Dungloe since she was 16 years of age and has been a valued and committed member of the team.

To keep him happy, Brendan was also gifted a small gesture for his 29 years of service (just for laughs!).
