A whale has been found washed up on the shores of a Donegal island.

It was found dead on the beach on Tory Island by locals early this morning.

The young whale measures at just over 14 feet.

Glenties Councillor Michael Cholm Mac Giolla Easbuig said on social media that the matter has been reported to Donegal County Council, and that it’s hoped the whale can be removed as soon as possible.

Thanks to Anton Meenan for providing the pictures of the whale.
