Donegal County Council has opened applications for the 2024 Artists Bursaries Scheme.

The programme has been running for a number of years, allowing artists the opportunity to get financial assistance towards current or upcoming artistic projects and activities.

The scheme is designed to support individual artists at any stage of their career to sustain and further their practice, and bursaries of up to €1000 each may be offered under the scheme.

According to the Council, the main objective of the scheme is to facilitate artists in the development or the completion of specific bodies or programmes of work. The scheme will also support artists to sustain and develop their practice through the research, design, creation and presentation of events, performances, exhibitions, publications and other artistic projects.

The Artists Bursaries Scheme is funded by Donegal County Council and The Arts Council.

Guidelines for entries as well as an Application Form can be found here.

You can also email artistsbursaries@donegalcoco.ie to directly receive a copy to your inbox.

The closing date for receipt of completed applications is 4.30pm on Friday, August 16th, 2024. Applications received after that deadline will not be considered.
