A drunk driver caught speeding outside Letterkenny town today has been arrested and charged to appear in court.
Gardaí were conducting a speed check this morning when they clocked a vehicle travelling at 130KPH in a 100KPH speed zone.
After bringing the driver to a halt, members of the Letterkenny Roads Policing Unit conducted a roadside breath test which the driver failed.
“A Fixed Charge Penalty Notice and a Court appearance will follow,” a garda spokesperson said.
“Never put yourself or others at risk on the roads. Please make responsible decisions and help save lives.”
