A man aged in his forties has died after a crash that happened overnight in County Cork.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene following the single-car accident, that took place near Kinsale at approximately 1:30am this morning.
None of the other occupants of the vehicle sustained serious injuries.
However the driver, a man aged in his thirties, has been arrested by Gardaí and is now being detained under section 4 of the criminal justice act.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses.
