Former Twin Towns doctor’s surgery to become legal practice

Plans to turn a former doctor’s home and surgery in Stranorlar into a solicitor’s practice have been given the green light this week.

Ciaran Barron, solicitor, was granted a ‘change of use’ planning permission for the property (main pic) on Pound Street which was formerly owned by the late Dr Fred Kee.

The proposed works also include a single storey extension to the rear of the property and development of on site car parking and turning area.

The Millbrae Surgery was established by Dr Kee in 1947 and, in recent years, moved to new premises at the Stranorlar Health Centre, directly opposite his former home.
