A charity skydive will take place in two weeks time in aid of a Inishowen man who died in a road collision earlier this year.
James ‘Jimmy’ McKenna (25) was walking home in the early hours of Sunday, June 9, at Ballynally, near Moville, when he was struck by a car. It is believed the popular Buncrana man was returning from attending a function at the Inishowen Vintage Show when the incident occurred.
Now, friends are organising a skydive in Jimmy’s memory to raise funds for the Irish Road Victims Association (IRVA).
The IRVA is a charity that provides free information and support to those bereaved or injured by road traffic collisions, and works to reduce dangers on our roads.
“We are doing this in memory of our friend and colleague, Jimmy McKenna,” the organisers wrote on their GoFundMe page.
The event will take place at skydive Ireland on Saturday, August 24th.
