Mains water from Creeslough and Dunfanagnhy is being diverted in order to help boost supplies in the Falcarragh area.
Local councillor, Michael McClafferty, said water is running again, but not guaranteed to service all homes and businesses.
“Thanks to the workmen out all weekend who have certainly done their best,” he said.
However, Cllr McClafferty added that homes on high ground in Derryreel may also lose water pressure for a time.
“All houses on high ground may not have water restored until tomorrow as there may not be enough to go round all the areas affected.”
Many homes in the Falcarragh and Gortahork areas had been without water since Saturday night following an interruption at a local water treatment plant.
Cllr McClafferty says the following areas around Falcarragh and Gortahork were affected: Old Town, Upper Killult, Lower Killult, Clonbarra, Balintemple, Ballyconnal (partially), Balliness.
