Gardaí are maintaining a strong presence on the roads of Inishowen this week as crowds flock to the Clonmany Festival.
The week-long event continues with country music performances each night until Sunday.
The Buncrana Roads Policing Unit has been operating Mandatory Intoxicant Testing Checkpoints and patrols on roads leading to/from the village.
After another series of checkpoints last night, Gardaí took to Facebook to say: “The Clonmany Festival is ongoing as are our checkpoints. We will continue to stop and test drivers. Do not drive while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Never take risks on the roads.
“Enjoy the festival but please take steps to ensure that you arrive home safely afterwards.”
