Met Eireann has issued a nationwide weather warning as a band of heavy rain is set to fall late on Sunday night.
A status yellow warning has been issued from Ireland, which will be in effect from 10pm on Sunday night.
The national forecaster has warned of the possibility of thundery downpours, as well as localised flooding in areas, and difficult travelling conditions with poor visibility on the roads.
The warning will be in place until 8am on Monday morning.
