The Letterkenny Cathedral Quarter has announced that they will be releasing a 10th anniversary booklet, celebrating a decade of its existence.
The launch comes as part of their Heritage Week activities.
It will be launched in an event at Dillions Hotel on Friday the 23rd of August at 8pm, by Eddie McKeever, Managing Director of the McKeever Hotel Group.
Committee Member Martin Gallagher put the booklet together with finishing touches added by chair Sean Purser from Wild Atlantic Productions & Digital Content Marketing, and the booklet is both a celebration and reflection of the Cathedral Quarter’s achievements throughout the past decade.
Music will also be provided by Evelyn Gallagher and Maria McCormick on the evening. The event is free and all are welcome.
The Letterkenny Cathedral Quarter have planned a plethora of events for Heritage Week alongside the commemorative booklet.
The first event is the Cathedral Quarter Jaunt, starting outside the mosaic on Monday, 19th August at 8pm.
The Cathedral Quarter say it is a chance to “learn about the past, present, and future of the area as we dander up Church Lane, stopping off at Conwal Parish Church and St. Eunan’s Cathedral before wandering down Castle Street, finishing at the bottom of the Market Square.” Admission to the event is €5 with under 16s going free.
There is also an Open Day at the Catherdral Quarter Office at No.3 Church Lane on Wednesday the 21st of August. The Open Day is from 10am to 5pm where you will get a behind the scene look at the Cathedral Quarter Project, and is also free to attend.
