A pair of robbers fled empty-handed after a failed burglary attempt in Bundoran last weekend.

The incident occurred at business premises on the Atlantic Way at around 10.25pm on Sunday, August 11th.

Two men entered the premises and one attempted to force open a cash box. Despite causing damage to the box, their attempt was unsuccessful. The men fled the scene immediately after being confronted.

Gardaí are investigating the incident and are particularly interested in speaking to any road users who may have dashcam footage from the Atlantic Way or Bundoran Town area between 10pm and 11pm on Sunday night.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Ballyshannon Garda Station on 071-9858530.
