Water supply returning after major outage in Twin Towns

Uisce Eireann has confirmed that repairs have been successfully completed in Ballybofey and Stranorlar after a major water mains burst.

Businesses and residents suffered significant disruption today after the unplanned outage, with some businesses reportedly having to close early.

Normal water supply is now returning to the majority of customers. However, those on higher ground or at the end of the network have been advised that they may experience disruption or an intermittent supply for a number of hours.

Customers may also experience discolouration to their supply as a result of the repairs.
