National: Man (30s) dies after collision between lorry and car

A man in his thirties has died after a road traffic accident this morning.

The incident took place on the N7 near Rathcoole, County Dublin at approximately 9am.

Gardaí say that a male passenger in the car passed away from their injuries, with the driver of the car also requiring hospital treatment for non-life threatening injuries also.

Gardaí have closed the section of the N7 where the incident occurred as they continue their investigation into the tragic accident.
