Extensive search for missing dog on Arranmore

A family visiting Donegal is appealing for help to find their missing pet, Mali.

The Bernese Mountain Dog went missing on Arranmore Island last Friday when she got away from her owners near the Lighthouse.

Despite being on a lead, Mali escaped in stormy conditions and the wind was too loud for her to hear her owners call her back.

Her owners, a family from Germany, have been desperately trying to locate their beloved pet.

In a community appeal, Sarah Recinos Ralda has asked people to support the search in anyway they can. Islanders have been asked to check outhouses in the hope that Mali has taken shelter somewhere.

Thorough searches have taken place around the lighthouse and sheep park over the weekend.

Sarah has issued her thanks to everyone for their generous offers of help and guidance so far.

If you have seen Mali or can help, please contact Sarah Recinos Ralda on Facebook or the Arranmore pictures and people group.
