Saint Bernadette’s relics to visit Letterkenny this autumn

The holy relics of St Bernadette will journey to St Eunan’s Cathedral this October on their very first pilgrimage to Ireland.

The relics will be arriving to the Raphoe Diocese on 11th and 12th October 2024, where they will be hosted in St Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny.

Saint Bernadette (Bernadette Soubirous, January 7, 1844 – April 16, 1879) was the visionary who witnessed the Blessed Mother in Lourdes.

In 1858, at the Massabielle Grotto, the Virgin Mary appeared 18 times to 14-year-old Bernadette. Now, thousands of Christians visit Lourdes as a place of pilgrimage.

Lourdes is one of the busiest pilgrimage sites in the world, and the relic tour is a once-in-lifetime change for people of all ages and backgrounds to experience Lourdes in their own diocese.

The relic tour will visit every diocese in the country from September to October. See more at: stbernadette.ie
