Rescue services were in action in south west Donegal again today after a person suffered a lower leg injury following a fall in Glenlough Bay.

Killybegs Coast Guard were tasked at 3.45pm this afternoon alongside Donegal Mountain Rescue.

The casualty was airlifted to hospital by Rescue 118.

This is the fifth call-out for Killybegs Coast Guard in the past nine days. Yesterday, volunteers were involved in a seven-hour call-out to rescue a dog which had fallen from cliffs in the Glenlough Bay area.

The Coast Guard remind the public to dial 999 or 112 and ask for the Coast Guard in case of an emergency on land or sea.
