Gardaí are appealing for information after several stained glass church windows were smashed on Inishbofin Island over the weekend.

The incident of criminal damage occurred at the island’s Community Hall sometime between 3pm on Saturday and midday yesterday. A number of stained glass church

windows that were in storage at that location were smashed between those

times. The public has access to the hall.

“As this is a very recent incident, we ask residents in that area to recall if they observed any suspicious activity around the hall between those dates,” Garda Grainne Doherty said.

If they can offer any relevant information, please contact Gardaí in Milford on 074-9153060. The Garda Confidential Line may also be contacted on 1800 666 111.
