A young baking prodigy from Gaoth Dobhair is fronting a new children’s cookery series airing on Cúla4 this September.

Aoibhín O’Dea (21), founder of Cácaí Aoibhín, is well-known for her showstopping cakes.

Now, she’ll be sharing her secrets in Cácaí Áille, a series for aspiring young people who want to master homemade cakes, buns, scones and more!

This exciting new venture is the icing on the cake for Aoibhín, who has been running her own business since she was just 14.

The full series of Cácaí Áille will be launched as part of the celebration of Cúla4’s first anniversary on air, on the 8th of Sept from 5:25pm onwards. It will be available on the Cúla4 player after that.

Baking enthusiasts will learn how to bake and decorate pinata, volcano, piano, giraffe, sport and Spongebob cakes. They will also see how different things are made like boiled sweets, jam, honey, milk, eggs and gluten free bread.

Aoibhín will also help a special young guest bake something for their family and friends from their own kitchen.

Cácaí Áille – Cúla4

This series was created by Sonia Nic Giolla Easbuig from the award-winning Independent TV Production company LIGID TV Productions, with funding from the ILBF and TG4.

If you or anyone you know is interested in baking this is the series for you! All recipes will be made available on the Cacaí Áille page on www.Cúla4.com from the 9th of September onwards.
