The award-winning Obituary series is returning to south Donegal for more dark comedy fun, and locals have a chance of getting on the small screen as extras!

Filming for the second series will be taking place between Ballyshannon and Bundoran.

Producers are seeking local individuals of all ages and genders to be a part of the show and experience the thrill of being on set.

Penned by Mayo man Ray Lawlor, Obituary received widespread acclaim during its debut season and made its way to streaming platforms Netflix and Hulu.

The series, starring Siobhan Cullen, follows a young obituarist in a newspaper in the fictional small town of Kilraven who turns to committing murders when the locals aren’t dying quickly enough.

In the extras casting call for series two, a spokesperson for Kilraven Productions said: “No previous experience is required – we’re looking for enthusiastic individuals who want to be part of our production. This could be a great opportunity to experience life on set and see how TV magic is made!”

If you are interested in applying, please follow these steps:

  1. Email Us: Send an email to obituaryextras@gmail.com with the subject line “Season Two Extra Application.”
  2. Include Recent Photos: Please attach a recent headshot and a full-body photo. Make sure the photos are clear, well-lit, and reflect your current appearance.
  3. Provide Your Measurements: Along with your photos, include your basic measurements: height, clothing sizes, shoe size, etc.
  4. Contact Details: Make sure to provide your full name, phone number, and email address so we can reach you if selected.
