Para cyclist Katie-George Dunlevy and her pilot Eve McCrystal put in a strong performance in the women’s b 1000m time trial final this afternoon.

Great Britain’s Elizabeth Jordan/Dannielle Khan took gold, followed by Australia’s Jessica Gallagher/Caitlin Ward with silver and GB duo Sophie Unwin/Jenny Holl with bronze.

The Donegal flag was flying high in the Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines Velodrome as Dunlevy’s family cheered her on.

Dunlevy, whose father John is from Mountcharles, holds three gold and two silver Paralympic medals won in Rio and Tokyo as well as five gold medals at UCI Para-cycling Road World Championships.

Dunlevy is based in Crawley, West Sussex and has a background in rowing, she has a visual impairment. Her sighted pilot Eve McCrystal is from Louth.
