It’s ‘ruff’ at the top for two Donegal hotels who have been named amongst the top hotels in Ireland for bringing your dog to.

The two hotel, Ballintra’s Lough Mardal Lodge and the Highlands Hotel in Glenties, are in the top six hotels in the country for cuddling up to your beloved pet in.

The survey was carried out by Betway.

The tops spots were decided by measuring popularity generated by the number of hashtags each location has racked up on Instagram, as well as Google and Tripadvisor reviews.

Both Donegal hotels could not be separated and were came in joint fifth place.

Glenlo Abbey Hotel & Estate in Galway was the number one choice.
