Donegal County Council has confirmed that Glenties Main Street will close for two days next week to facilitate the annual Harvest Fair.

The street will close to all traffic on Thursday, September 12th, from 8am to 9pm and Sunday, September 15th, from 3pm to 8pm.

The diversion route is via Maas/Nairn/Hillhead, Ardara and will be signposted.

“It should be noted that the Altar Road is still closed to all vehicular traffic and Mullantyboyle is for local traffic only and not a diversion route around the town,” the local community group said.

The R261 via Maas is the official diversion route as granted by Donegal County Council.
