Coláiste Ailigh, Letterkenny, today launched a special series of events to mark the school’s 25th anniversary.
The celebration featured beautiful music, moving speeches, and a special visit from the Mayor of Letterkenny, Councillor Gerry McMonagle.
The school proudly announced the winner of the competition to design a commemorative logo: third-year student Máire Nic Giolla Chóin. Stay tuned for monthly events, starting with a 5k race on September 25th.
Coláiste Ailigh became Donegal VEC’s third All-Irish speaking school when it first opened in 2000 in rented accommodation at Sprackburn House, beside the Orchard Inn. In November 2013, the school community took a giant leap forward when it moved into their beautiful modern new building in Knocknamona.
