Gardaí say there are no reports of serious injuries ‘at this time’ following this evening’s crash near Bridgend.

The incident took place at Carrick Bridge, on the back road towards Grianan of Aileach, at around 5:10pm.

Locals reported a number of emergency vehicles rushing to the scene and that the road was blocked for a time.

However, a spokesperson for the Garda Press Office said they were not aware of any serious injuries ‘at this time.’
